How can I connect my home theater system to my computer and TV?

Floy Fague: Well, for one thing, you are going to need a home theater audio receiver, as the Energy speakers are just the speakers, not the amp to drive them, or the pre-amp to switch between input and output sources. The Energy 5.1 speaker set is pretty good, and at 33% off on Amaz*n, a good deal. So, you're going to need a receiver, at least a 5.1 model, and among the better companies that make such hardware, are Pioneer, Yamaha, Denon and Harman Kardon. A Yamaha RX-V471BL will only run you $240 on Amaz*n.Then, you connect everything else through the receiver. You use HDMI cables to feed the signals from upconverting DVD or BluRay players, and hi-def game systems, a digital optical cable to send audio from the TV to the receiver, so that you could play the TV sound from the speakers, and you'll need 16 gauge speaker wire to connect the speakers to the receiver, plus a subwoofer cable for the Energy sub. All those cables can be found on Amaz*n for low prices....Show more!
