Loise Mausser: I only have a cell phone. I have always wanted to know if that was a bad idea because of threat of emergency situations. ( i.e earthquake) But as I can see, your computer is working right?..you could send your family emails and text messages to let them know you are ok. But, in the event that the power goes out, some phone lines do still work. Soo, maybe I'll just stay here on the east coast where we don't generally get earthquakes and call it a solution....Show more
Darcie Peraha: I have a land line because we get hurricanes here every couple of years, and I want to make sure I have access to telephone if a tower goes down or a service is overloaded.

Sharron Salin: not only do I have a landline, I have a rotary dial phone(remember them) in case the power goes out as well. Talk about OLD SCHOOL!!!!!!!!
Phillip Modafferi: nope. my whole family is on cell phones and we got rid of ! our home line.... i live in new york through (no earthquakes)
