Harry Potter questions and trivia?

Stephnie Patout: The amazing writing, the humour, the originality, the weirdly fanstastic plot etc etc etc. I absolutely loved it.I would have ended it in exactly the same way, JKR was very brave in the deaths she made in the end of the book, it's what made it more personal to the reader. I cried so much.JKR is so talented, too talented, on the verge of being freaky. I love her so.I like the movies, except for the fifth, it sucks balls. Probably the worst movie version ovf a book i've seen i my life!Fave HP movie is the second, only because of Gilderoy Lockhart, he's hilarious, my friend and I quote him all the time. This isn't a trivia question....Show more

Marcellus Exler: What made Harry Potter so amazing for you?I honestly do not know. I have been captivated by it from the age of 8. I would just read them over and over again. I loved the detail and the foreshadowing. I loved that every time I reread it I could pick up something new. As I got older I loved the spe! culation and excitement of a new book. I loved the fandom and that there were so many people with such detailed ideas and theories of what was going to happen in the future. I loved wizard rock, fan fiction, podcasts, fan sites. I love JK Rowling. I love the mythology. I love the characters who are so relateable. I love the effect its had on an entire generation. Of all those I think foreshadowing would have to win. I was rereading Order of the Phoenix the other day and I read the part where Petunia said "that boy" told Lily about Dementors. We've always assumed it was James but after read Deathly Hallows we discover it was actually Snape. If you could have ended hte series, how would the ending have gone?I can't fault JK Rowling. The Battle of Hogwarts was everything I wanted and more. I was in tears when Harry was walking to the forest. I understand people had to die and I accept that, despite one of my absolute favourite characters (Remus) dying. My only fault is the over! use of expelliarmus. I mean I get it symbolizes Harry's purit! y but I just wanted him to do something different. As for the epilogue... I have mixed feelings. JK Rowling wrote it 15 years ago. It has the style of the earlier HP novels. In some ways this makes it stick out of place but in others it brings it full circle. I get that it's corny and kind of lame but i think it's nice to see that despite everything he's been through Harry can truly overcome adversary and live, which really, is the main message of the series.Did I notice anything I'd like to change?Again the expelliarmus thing. I got bored with Harry and Hermione in the forest also. I get it wasn't very long but it felt like it dragged on forever. Honestly that's it. I think JK Rowling is a geniusWhat do you think of JK Rowling?I think i've made it resoundingly clear that I think she's brilliant. In regards to her personally, I think she's a lovely person. She's very down to earth for someone who has reached such standards. I love her story, I'm a sucker for those rags to ri! ches (and not just money wise but how she's now married with three kids). I think she's amazing for all her charity work and as for her lawsuit with RDR, I think she had every right to take him to court.Which is my favourite book and why?Deathly Hallows. It tied everything together. Everything I'd been waiting for for the past 9 years fit together. It was like the last piece of the puzzle that just fit in so perfectly and made a masterpiece. DO you like the movies? As movies yes I do enjoy them. As adaptions of the books... not so much. I'm always there opening night, first in line dressed up and screaming in excitement. I come out of hte movie hyperventiating because it was so amazing. But then I make sure i never watch it again. If I watch the movie too much I get the scenes from the movie in my head rather than what my imagination saw. And after watching the movie I cannot read the related book for at least 6 months otherwise again I see it movie wise rather than book wis! e. Sounds weird but still today I picture the Chamber of Secrets as wha! t it was in the movie. What is my favourite movie?Goblet of Fire. Something about it just did it for me. Don't ask me what (I haven't watched the movie in 4 years) but I just think of this movie particularly favourably. Anything else I'd like to add?not particularlyHP Trivia hey...Did you know that if all the HP books were placed end to end they'd go around the equator twice.I don't really know? Most of the stuff I know is just stuff from reading the books too much... not stuff that isn't very obvious. There's the mythology. Like Argus (as in Argus Filch) is, in Greek mythology, an all seeing man with 100 eyes. and Malfoy means "bad faith" in french. Pretty much every name has a relating meaning. Which I think is pretty cool...Show more

Travis Sherrock: Dear, Sir E. Brull;grow up, and get lost.

Collin Barter: My big thing to change is I wouldn't have shown them as adults. It's almost like it took away possibilities.

Todd Stogner: The characters and the plot! . It was a well-told story. The funny moments.I loved it, so I don't answer your second question :)I don't know what I would have changed. The epilogue was a little cheesy, but I think that was mostly because of the names Harry and Ginny gave their kids. Otherwise, I think it was cool.Yes, the protections against Number 12 Grimmauld Place. I -still- don't understand what they are. . .I've never met her, but she seems like a nice person.Number three has always been my absolute favorite, closely followed by number seven. I loved the dementors and time turner scene, and the whole mix-up about Peter Pettigrew and Sirius. It was a great book.Don't like the movies. I laugh through all of them. They're so silly, the acting's terrible and stiff.I guess I'll go with . . . the first one.Once, I bought the first three books individually. A few weeks later at school (in those book orders from Scholastic) they were offered in a set that cost less than buying them individually. So . . I ! bought them again. . . I thought I was saving money . . I was in 5th gr! ade :) I started reading them that year. The only hardcover I own is OOTP. My POA is broken in half. My sister spoiled the ending of HBP for me. I used to have a crush on Harry Potter in 6th grade, especially since I thought Daniel Radcliffe was cute in the first movie. The only two I don't own are GOF and DH. Luna Lovegood is one of my favorite characters. I laughed to tears at her conversation during Slughorn's party in HBP, and cried when Harry and co. went to see Xeno Lovegood and went up to her room.I've been reading the books for about nine years, and I still love them :)...Show more

Ewa Homrich: I don't know what made it amazing for me, I just really liked the book. I liked the ending how it was, though I would have made some other character die in place of Fred. I think that JK Rowling is a really good author. My favorite book is wither Order of the Phoenix or Deathly Hallows, I'm not sure why, their just the best in my opinion. The movies were okay, but I tho! ught they made a lot of changes as the movies got further into the series. I know they had to change some stuff because the movies were getting longer, though. I'm glad Deathly Hallows is going to be made into two movies. My favorite movie was Order of the Phoenix or Goblet of Fire. Here is some trivia that was not in the books:Bellatrix Lestrange killed Tonks and Antonin Dolohov killed Lupin. The pains in Harry's scar were actually the piece of Voldemorts soul wanting to rejoin its master.Harry and Ron were Aurors, Hermione was Head of Magical Law Enforcement, and Ginny was a player on the Holyhead Harpies. Neville married Hannah Abbott...Show more

Alvaro Oare: [Yawn] Okay...[Laughing uncontrollably at your naive and dull personality]Okay...now, I'll answer the question...[Laughing again][Laughing like a howler monkey on caffeine]This isn't a trivia site; only loser want to answer this question.Sadly I am a loser looking for something to do.[Laughing and walking away ! to get a cup of coffee][Laughing echoes]...Show more

Michelle Soh! re: Harry Potter was amazing to me because as a young child it was easy to imagine this world. At the time I was the same age as Harry and dreamt of reciving my letter to Hogwarts. I was gravely upset when I didn't recive one but it was all apart of the fun.I enjoyed lining up in the freezing cold for my copies of the Order of the Pheonix, the Half Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows. I am proud to say I stood there in line dressed up for a copy of the books.I can't say I would have ended it any differently. I never wanted Harry to die and I assumed from the Half Blood Prince, Harry was the seventh Horcrux. But maybe I wouldn't have killed off so many characters. That had me crying all the way through!I would have changed one main point. I would have liked to have seen more of Sirius - he was one of my faveourite characters and there should have been more communication between he and Harry before he died. They had such a short time together it was so sad.I think J.K Rowlin! g is amazing. She is one of my heroes. My faveourite book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I love it because I cried all the way through with out shame. I lined up for hours just to get a copy. I will line up to see both movies with my home made Harry Potter scarf and cloak. I love it also because I will never grow tired of reading it. I can quote chapters of it and never have to skip a page. I could read it over and over again and never grow tired of it. I loved it to peices. The movies are okay. Its excellent to see such a great series being made into a series of highly sucessfull movies. Despite the issues I see in them I cannot deny the fact I have all 5 of the available movies special edition in my collection. My faveourite movie is the Prisnor of Askaban. I loved the dark nature of the film and particularly the way the director brought something new and interesting to the films.I LOVE HARRY POTTER!The inscription above the mirror of erised - "Erised stra ehru oyt! ube cafru oyt on woshi" acutally read backwards:I show not your face b! ut your hearts desire.Thats my trivia!...Show more
