Good vegetables for pot garden?

Nedra Oltz: tomatoes and peppers are good! squashes get WAY to big. maybe green beans?? or things that grow in the ground maybe? like onions, carrots, beats.

Lia Argall: Squash is out, they take too much room. Cherry tomatoes are supremely easy and you can hang the plant. Peas are easy but sprawl around a bit. Bell peppers can do well and make a very attractive ornamental if you trim it. Any tomato you get make sure it says "determinate" on it, that will keep the size down. Beans are also kind of hard to keep looking good but will produce a lot. The bigger the actual fruit or vegatable you grow, the bigger the pot has to be. Have fun, good luck....Show more

Norine Lomonte: tomatoes, peppers (hot and bell or frying)cucumbers, beans and peas- trellis them so they don't fall over on themselvestomatoes might need a steak or support as well.all these prefer full or at least 8 hrs of sunlight. look for info on container gardens/planting and also talk to some garden ! centers in your area for what will grow best where you live.oh if you drink perked coffee you can mix grounds in to the soil and feed your plants lots of nutrients. keeps bugs away too...Show more
