Cheap alternatives to toys?

Loise Mausser: A card table with a blanket over it makes a perfect tent!Old magazines and a pair of scissors can make a fun art project.

Rosio Pasculli: Plastic Tupperware containers. My 2 year old is now fascinated to the animal paper plates! You can get a whole pack for $2.00. He sits on the kitchen floor and plays for a whole 30-45 min. just with the animal plates. Plus they don't make any sounds!!

Terrell Lawman: I save all the old shampoo bottles and they love it, also the mcdonalds toys that get thrown away i use them in the bath.

Elli Esaw: mine are the same way. They also love their drums made from oatmeal boxes, their guitar from a tissue box and paper towel roll, animals they make from old egg cartons.. etc...

Hugo Pittari: My son loves to play with the broom, the vaccuum, and with wash clothes, he likes to go around the house and clean all day. I can only hope that he will always love to clean! lol

Somer Distilo: O.k. I'll tell y! ou a secret but don't think I am a bad person or mother, I just on a very tight budget. You know how kids get a toy and like two days later they throw it down and never look at it again, well buy from wal-mart because they are the best about taking things back. Keep the box, let the kids play with the toy, then as long as they don't tear it up, box it back up take it back and get em something new. This way you can keep them up to date and entertained without spending a fortune and having a house full of junk toys that they won't even look at....Show more

Darrin Hixenbaugh: Rocks! I don't know what it is about them, but my kids love them. My son collects them and separates them into groups by size and color. They don't even need outside toys. They play with rocks, sticks, snails, rollie pollies, and whatever else they can collect outside. I don't let them bring any of it in the house of course, but they keep themselves busy for hours outside.

Krystal Cordova! no: were you wanting more alternatives or just making a statem! ent?
