Definitely pay it off within the 30-day grace period.The best way to build credit is just by having a credit card in the first place. Using it will help somewhat, but you MUST pay it off every month. Having a credit card shows that you were approved for credit, and have a certain amount of credit available. The higher the limit and higher available credit the better for whenever you decide to get a loan for a car, house, etc. Just don't ever miss any payments. It's very difficult to catch up if you get into debt.Also, it's better to only have one or two cards at the most. Don't get all of the credit cards that are offered at retailers for 10% off, etc. The credit agencies don't like it when you have a ton of credit accounts - it sets off a red flag that you are a big spender.It takes time to build your credit score.
